Chaque année, l’association Françoise propose des programmes de résidence artistique, notamment à destination d’artistes internationaux en partenariat avec la Cité internationale des arts de Paris et l’Institut Français.

La sélection des artistes s’effectue via un appel à candidature international ouvert à toutes les pratiques artistiques. Après avoir été étudiés par un comité de sélection, en moyenne trois dossiers de candidature sont sélectionnés. L’association accompagne alors les artistes dans l’élaboration de leur projet de résidence et transmettent les dossiers complets aux structures concernées.

Françoise prend en charge financièrement une partie du séjour des artistes, leur fournissant notamment le matériel et les outils nécessaires pour créer leurs œuvres. Tout au long de leur séjour, l’association accompagne les artistes dans leurs créations et projets, diffusant leurs actualités virtuellement (réseaux sociaux, site internet, newsletter) et physiquement par le biais de rencontres, workshops et parfois d’expositions.

En 2022, l’association recevait deux artistes autrichiens : Nanna Kaiser et Max Freund. Ils ont passé trois mois à la Cité internationale de Paris. La restitutions de leurs œuvres a donné lieu à deux expositions collectives à la Galerie F. Ils ont également assisté au programme de rencontres avec de nombreux artistes de la région. Ils ont participé aux ateliers portes ouvertes de la Cité Internationale des Arts de Paris.

Pour cette année 2023, l’Association Françoise en partenariat avec l’Institut Français et le centre d’art Artport (Tel Aviv) accueillera l’artiste Hinda Weiss pour une résidence de 2 mois à la Cité internationale des arts de Paris.

Each year, the Françoise Association proposes artistic residency programs, notably for international artists in partnership with the Cité internationale des arts de Paris and the Institut Français.

The selection of artists is made through an international call for applications open to all artistic practices. After being studied by a selection committee, an average of three applications are selected. The association then accompanies the artists in the elaboration of their residency project and transmits the complete files to the concerned structures.

Françoise takes care of part of the artists’ stay, providing them with the necessary material and tools to create their works. Throughout their stay, the association accompanies the artists in their creations and projects, spreading their news virtually (social networks, website, newsletter) and physically through meetings, workshops and sometimes exhibitions.

In 2022, the association received two Austrian artists: Nanna Kaiser and Max Freund. They spent three months at the Cité internationale de Paris. The restitution of their works gave rise to two collective exhibitions at Galerie F. They also attended the program of meetings with many artists of the region. They participated in open house workshops at the Cité Internationale des Arts de Paris.

For this year 2023, in partnership with the French Institute and the art centre Artport (Tel Aviv), the Association Françoise will welcome the artist Hinda Weiss for a 2 months residency at the Cité internationale des arts de Paris.
