Raimon Sibilo

Raimon Sibilo studied graphic design at St. Lucas, Communication & Graphic Design, Boxtel, The Netherlands, one year film at St. Lukas Arts Academy, Brussel, Belgium in 2004-2005, and then got his Bachelor of Fine Arts at St. Joost, 's Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands in 2009. In 2011, just after receiving his BA of arts, he received 2 grants to develop himself further in his art practice. In 2014 he studied a year in Berlin at CQ Beratung+Bildung "Weiterbildung" (social art projects with children).

Born in The Netherlands in 1981. Based in Berlin from 2011-2017. After that mainly home-free, living a nomadic existence without a steady home, mostly on Tour* through the Americas (USA & Latin America) between 2017-2022. Traveling, discovering new places, observing, registering, work-exchange / WWOOFing / volunteering, learning/exchanging new (traditional) skills, and participating in artist residency programs. Since 2022, Sibilo based itself more in The Netherlands again. His works have taken place in national and international group exhibitions, festivals and fairs, among them: The collaborations with DANSEZ SUR VOS MURS collective in Attica, Greece, resulting in street performance in Athens with a side specific installation as decor for it, and participation in the samen titles artist residency program/festival in Nantes, France, both in 2019. Further he got invited for the DISTURBANCE & DEVELOPMENT Artist Residency program, organized by Affect, Agora, Berlin in 2018 and Anima Casa Rural Artist Residency in Mexico in 2017. Raimon Sibilo had his first solo show in 2015 at Intercambiador Acart Artist Residency Program in Madrid, 2015, as closure of an artist residency program. Followed by among others, the solo exhibition during the Artist Residency Program of PIRA ADM, Mexico City in 2017 and 2 group exhibitions in New York City in 2019. In 2021 (amidst the pandemic, during Tour 5), Raimon Sibilo also followed an Online Artist Residency Program from nectar, Rural Artist Residency & Co- living, supporting his practice/projects.
